The product of a 2-day writing retreat in Lanes Cove, Gloucester, MA, this EP features two modern folk/ pop folk songs, recorded in a grassroots way at a local radio station. The goal is for the songs to speak for themselves in a pure way, without embellishment and overproduction, setting the dynamism of the vocals and the intimacy of the lyrics against the gentle, textured backdrop of two, interwoven guitars. The cover art was created by Sam Bogart, a long time friend of Oscar Korson’s and is a rendering of the boat house in Lanes Cove. It captures the warmth and intimacy of our creative winter days and nights in Gloucester.

I was 15 when I co-wrote this song with another young songwriter, Liara Neha Torres. Friends and fans always enjoyed the samba-influenced groove and dreamy lyrics. So we're finally releasing this live version, which was recorded live at the Stone Church in Brattleboro, Vermont during the July 2025 GRRLS to the Front graduation party (a program supporting women and non-binary sound engineers). The track was live mixed by GRRRLS to the Front graduates.
